By now you may have heard news of what are being called riots by residents and supporters of public housing in New Orleans against police and the NOLA City Council. In fact, peaceful demonstrators were met with Tasers and pepper spray.
This is a storm that has quickly gathered in the past few weeks. The issue at hand is the vote to destroy 5000 units of public housing in the city, a move that many believe is tantamount to permanently clearing poor Black residents from their home.

Nike is making a documentary celebrating 30 years of Nike Basketball history. Familiar faces in the basketball and sneaker cultures such as Pee Wee Kirkland, Benny Gold, Dave Ortiz of DQM, and Bobbito Garcia were interviewed to talk about the different aspects of basketball and sneaker communities. The film goes in depth with street ball, sneaker art, fashion, and more.
You’ve probably heard about Laced by now, but did you know the soundtrack is by Khrysis?
Continuing his ascension up the Hip hop production ladder, Khrysis (whose previous production credits include Jean Grae, Big Pooh, Masta Ace, Sean Price, Smif N Wesson and Little Brother) teams up with Nike to provide the soundtrack for Nike’s newest documentary, “LACED”.
