Artist Feature: Ok_Ma
Young Lee and Jake Telford make up the production duo called Ok_Ma. The group formed around two years ago when Jake joined Young at his DJ gigs, playing sax and flute over Young’s beats. Featuring various vocalists, the Ok_Ma project is a fusion of funk, soul, R&B and Afro / Broken Beat music.
You can hear Ok_Ma on releases for London’s R2 records, Liverpool’s Sick Trumpet and Chicago’s Still Music. And you can see Ok_Ma perform at many of London’s best venues including the Bedroom Bar where Young Lee has had a residency for seven years. The group also has shows planned this year for Italy, Switzerland, Miami and Spain .
