If you’ve been a little down lately because your favorite downtempo artists of the recent past have been turning into indie rock groups (and yes, that’s a reference to Cinematic Orchestra and Portishead), then this news should lift your spirits.  Members of The Orb are set to release their new album, The Dream, June 17th, and it actually sounds like The Orb.  Described as “retro-fresh,” the album has a sound much like the group’s early work – chill, downtempo, and inspired.  Learn more about The Orb here.
