“Jamie” is the new single from Darryl Moore’s forthcoming debut album Where I’m At.

Darryl says of the song: “The message of this song is that substance abuse can attack even the best of us, even if we are honor roll students with bright futures.” He continues, “It’s our surroundings; the enemy is on the rise and his poison has destroyed our minds and our children’s.”

He describes the song’s creation, “Ivan Johnson produced the music and I heard crying in the melody. Because I’d written the song prior to hearing the music, I’d thought it would be a perfect match.”

Darryl Moore’s debut album Where I’m At will be available May 4th via Georgia Anne Muldrow and Declaime’s new label, SomeOthaShip Connect.
