Weathertunes – La Femme
La Femme is the appropriately-titled new release from Weathertunes – appropriate because the album evokes a feminine feel. Each song accentuates this theme with soft melodies, chilled, groove-driven beats, and of course female vocals.
Michelle Gibb, who sang on a previous Weathertunes song called “Passion,” sings “Feel You.” Manalili, who featured on the Lemongrass album Pour L’amour, sings on “Smoke And Mirrors,” a song inspired by black and white crime movies. “Bitter Past” features the layered harmonies of Wawa. And “So Confused” includes vocals by Kay Dee the Bee, who also sang on the Weathertunes album Palm Beach.
La Femme is the eighth release by Roland Voss and Daniel Voss as Weathertunes. The EP is out March 9 on Lemongrassmusic.
