John Collins will be releasing a new Deep House EP on Vision Collective this February; it’s called the Introspective EP. Here’s the release:
‘The Introspective EP’ by John Collins features four new house/deep house tracks. ‘Roll With You’ is a piano driven dance floor track with a powerful female vocal sample and rhythmic bass with a big nod to the early 90’s. ‘Freestlyin’ is a true deep house track with subtle atmospheric keys and strings, ideal for those late night lounge and after party sessions. ‘Alone’ takes you further into a deep groove with a heavy bass line and clever spoken vocal sample and sax. The final track on the EP ‘Deep Inside (Raw Mix)’ is a darker, raw affair with solid grooves and tones
Out now on Vision Collective Recordings, this Deep House song comes from Mick Verma, and it’s called “Synthsomagic.” The b-side is more of a Downtempo track entitled “Vermaquin,” which should also appeal to Deep House fans. Get them right here.
Deep House producer Andy Compton has released a new Soul/Funk/Jazz project under the name COMPTON, and the album is called Compton’s Soul. The record features musicians such as Charlie Hearnshaw, Jeff Bass, Pete Mo, Andy Barton and Alex Pamplin, and guest vocals from artists including Jaidene Veda, Ladybird, Diviniti and Kafele.
Compton’s Soul illustrates Andy Compton’s soul music inspirations at a laid-back tempo while maintaining the deep and elegant production of his House style. The sound is more organic though, and the vocals more delicate; the groove is more relaxed. While I wouldn’t quite call it chillout, Compton’s Soul is very much an album for wine and daydreaming.
