Wah Wah 45s, one of our favorite record labels, is celebrating a milestone: its 15th anniversary and its 50th seven-inch release. To mark the occasion, the label is dropping its first ever Record Store Day special. On the A-side, Scrimshire re-mixes the Hackney Colliery Band‘s cover of Kanye West’s “All Of The Lights.” The AA-side features The Reflex’s interpretation of Henri-Pierre Noel’s “Diskette.” Hear it below, and look out for it on Record Store Day, April 19th.
Futuristic hip hop collides with bruk-ish bass on the new single from Paper Tiger, called “Irresistible.” The song from the Leeds-based electronic music collective features vocals from Sabira Jade, and follows their debut long player on Wah Wah 45s called Laptop Suntan. Listen below. (more…)
