Plaid has released their tenth album – yes, tenth – on Warp Records, and it’s called Reachy Prints. The duo recently dropped a video for the song “Wallet” from that record, and you can see it below, along with some tour dates. Plaid will be performing select dates in the US throughout July.
Jamie Lidell’s “Big Love” is unabashedly optimistic without being ironic or overly precious. The song is upbeat electro-funk, and the video, featuring the Q-Kidz Dance Team, is pure upliftment.
Jamie says, “The Q-Kidz are the bomb. They destroy all cynicism with their sheer joy and passion and leave a trail of heart-warming smiles behind them wherever they go. It’s pretty rare these days to feel a genuine life rush but these girls with all their raw passion, discipline and exuberant joy just blew us all away.”

George Evelyn, aka Nightmares on Wax, is set to drop what is likely to be a massive album in September called Feelin Good, and the lead-off single is called “Now is the Time.” The record will feature orchestration and strings by Jazzanova arranger Sebastian Studnitzky, keyboards by Robin Taylor-Firth, drums by German jazz percussionist Wolfgang Haffner, bass from Paul Powell, percussion from Shovell The Drum Warrior, and vocals from Mozez of Zero 7. If that lineup isn’t enough to get you excited, check out the preview of “Now is the Time” below.
